Traveling to La Crosse

The team pulled away from the Municipal Athletic Complex parking lot in St. Cloud shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Friday.

During the ride, players passed around and autographed two dozen baseballs, and watched the movie "Smokin' Aces."

The last couple of hours of the trip to La Crosse were relatively silent, with the exception of a vehicle pulling in front of the bus (without signaling) from two lanes over on the highway. Bus driver Dean Jaacks slowed down in time to avoid an accident, but it caught us by surprise.

We arrived in La Crosse shortly after 2:00 p.m. We ate lunch at the North Country Steak Buffet, which several people said was one of the best dining locations on the road this summer.

After returning to the hotel, we drove to the ballpark around 5:00 p.m.

We are currently about an hour away from the Bats' first game of the summer in La Crosse. Listen on AM 1390 the FAN, and follow along at riverbats.com.
